The Touchscreen / Tablet Settings screen appears in the GameEx Setup Wizard. This screen allows you to configure GameEx for use with a supported tablet or other touchscreen device.

Configuration Options

GameEx Touchscreen / Tablet Settings

This is where you can configure and enable touchscreen/tablet support in GameEx.

Enable

Enable Touchscreen support in GameEx. You probably only want to do this if you are running GameEx with a touchscreen or on a tablet.

Hide Pointer

Hide the mouse pointer/cursor.
Options
  • Yes (Default)

Show Help Screens

Show help screens about controls before launching games.
Options
  • Yes (Default)
  • No

Click Mode

Whether a single tap immediately selects an item or whether two taps are sometimes required, the first to focus the menu items then the second to select.

  • Single Tap (Default)
  • First Tap Focuses

Compatible Games Only

Only list and allow play of touchscreen compatible games with MAME and GameEx arcade.
Options
  • Yes (Default)
  • No

Enable Exit Taps

If this is enabled then tapping the top left of the screen continuously will exit games.

Enable Credit Taps

If enabled tapping bottom right continuously sends 5 key to MAME and top right sends 1 key. If you are running a 64 bit operating system you must be using a 64 bit MAME version.

Show Click Animation

Show a tunnel animation when there is a tap/click.
